Accessibility

Collections are for the whole team — so the site should be too.

Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to start a collection, chip in, and read their messages — whatever device or assistive technology they use. We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, and we treat accessibility issues as bugs, not feature requests.

What we do today

  • Semantic HTML with proper headings, landmarks, and labels.
  • Keyboard navigation for core flows — creating, contributing, and redeeming.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
  • Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA for text and interactive elements.
  • Layouts that adapt to zoom, large text sizes, and small screens.

Known limitations

Some content comes from third parties — payment forms are rendered by our payment providers, and GIFs are supplied by their creators without alt text. We choose partners with strong accessibility records, but we can't always fix their gaps directly. If you hit a problem anywhere on the site — ours or a partner's — we want to know.
