1. About Hey Friday

Hey Friday (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at heyfriday.co.uk (the “Platform”). The Platform allows users to create and manage group collections for workplace occasions such as birthdays, leaving gifts, and team events.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Platform. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet this age requirement.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at privacy@heyfriday.co.uk if you suspect any unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

4. Collections

An “Organiser” is the person who creates a collection. A “Contributor” is anyone who makes a contribution to a collection. A “Recipient” is the person for whom the collection is organised.

By creating a collection, the Organiser agrees to manage it responsibly and ensure that contributions are used for their stated purpose. Hey Friday does not guarantee that any collection will reach its target amount.

5. Payments & Contributions

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. By making a contribution, you authorise the payment and acknowledge that contributions are generally non-refundable unless the collection is cancelled by the Organiser before it closes.

Hey Friday may charge a service fee on contributions. Any applicable fees will be clearly displayed before you confirm your payment.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Create collections for illegal, fraudulent, or misleading purposes
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or other users' accounts
• Use the Platform for money laundering or any financial crime

We reserve the right to remove any collection or content that violates these terms without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and technology on the Platform are owned by Hey Friday or its licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without our written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hey Friday shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform and are not responsible for any loss resulting from system failures, payment processing issues, or third-party services.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. On termination, any active collections you have organised may be closed and contributors may be refunded at our discretion.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
